History Of Welding
The character who appears here is none other than one of the pioneers of the weld. Mr. Oscar Kjellberg was the founder of the ESAB to early last century. In 1904 created the coated electrode which substantially improved the quality of weld metal. As it melts, the flux layer vaporizes and generates a gas that protects the metal hot air and thus prevents fragility reactions that may occur while the metal cools. Read the rest of this entry »
